From sign-up to your first answered call.
The whole setup is four steps. This page walks each one, then answers the questions every new operator asks.
Getting set up
- 01
Claim your business
Search Google for your business and claim it. We pull the address, hours, and category automatically, so your agent already knows what kind of shop it answers for before you type a word.
- 02
Connect your line
You keep your existing phone number. We assign your business a dedicated Yelow number, and you forward your line to it from your carrier dashboard — we show you the exact steps once your number is assigned. Test calls work the same day.
- 03
Train your agent
Tell the agent what you offer. Salons and service businesses get seeded services, hours and a built-in calendar so the agent can book on the first call; restaurants list items and prices (or upload a menu — PDF or photo, and you review every extracted item before anything goes live). Everything stays editable from your dashboard.
- 04
Go live
Once your number is assigned and your agent is trained, flip the switch. Yelow picks up every forwarded call from the first ring. If your forwarding needs a hand, email [email protected] and we help within the hour.
Ready? Create your account or try the agent first — no account needed.
FAQ
- Do I have to change my phone number?
- No. You keep the number your customers already know and forward it to your Yelow number. Turning Yelow off is just removing the forward.
- How long does setup take?
- Claiming and training take minutes. Call forwarding depends on your carrier, but test calls typically work the same day you connect your line.
- What can the agent actually do on a call?
- It answers with your business info, quotes your prices, takes orders, and books appointments against your calendar. It only offers what you trained it with — you review and confirm your menu or service list before the agent quotes any of it.
- Can I change my menu, services, or hours later?
- Yes, any time, from your dashboard. Changes apply to the calls that follow.
- What file types can I upload for my menu?
- PDF, PNG, or JPEG, up to 10 MB. You get an editable review of everything we extracted, and nothing is saved until you confirm it.
- What does it cost?
- Plans are on the pricing page — no per-seat math, priced for businesses.
- Where do I get help?
- Email [email protected]. During onboarding we answer fast — forwarding questions within the hour.
